The thesis presented in this essay is the contemplation of Jesus’ ascension into Heaven: the fact that within the Trinitarian intimacy of God, a human being is fully established—forever and therefore from all eternity. No other creature will ever inhabit this absolute space and time in the singular way that the Son does.
Yet, this establishment opens the certainty of an unimaginable hospitality within the womb of God for all creatures, inscribing the history of Jesus and, in him, of humanity, into the Trinitarian participation of the Son. Trinitarian ontology and creative affection demand to be explored by thinking through the Lord’s body to the very end, with the free disposition of God’s interiority and exteriority.
