
Raul Buffo
Raul Buffo is an Argentine jurist and philosopher. He graduated in law from the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán (Argentina), in Trinitarian Ontology from the Sophia University Institute (Florence), and in Philosophy and Ethics of Relations from the University of Perugia.
He earned his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Florence in partnership with the University of Pisa. He has served as a lecturer in Trinitarian Ontology at the Sophia University Institute (Florence) and as a research fellow at the same institute’s ‘Evangelii gaudium’ Center.
He is currently conducting research at the UR CERES of the Institut Catholique de Toulouse on the epistemology of complexity and Trinitarian ontology. He is a member of the Coordination Group of the Scientific Editorial Secretariat for the series “Dizionario Dinamico di Ontologia Trinitaria” (DDOT), published by Città Nuova.
His research focuses on Trinitarian ontology, particularly its epistemological and theoretic-ethical implications, with special attention to the relationship between philosophy, theology, and the sciences, as well as themes of recognition, reciprocity, and gift.
His publications include: Pensare dal riconoscimento. Paul Ricoeur e il sapere come evento intersoggettivo (Inschibboleth, Rome 2023); with P. Coda and A. Bergamo: Lessico di ontologia trinitaria (Città Nuova, Rome 2023); and he edited, with P. Coda: Gli ultimi sono-saranno i primi, DDOT 9 (Città Nuova, Rome 2025).
